Sharon

My grandmother, Sharon Singleton, passed away last wednesday early in the morning. She passed in her sleep after two weeks of pain from a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. My sisters and I were able to spend some great time with her before she passed in the last week sitting with her and making her comfortable. It was sad to see her this way, but it was a very special time. I can't really explain it.
My Grandmother loved theatre, and would send me the playbills to all the shows she would go to. It was fun to share that with her. I got a lot of talents from her like my love of cooking, and she always kept our kitchens full of the latest gadgets. I got my stubbornness from her as well. All of us Singleton's are stubborn. :)
I got to see family I haven't seen in a while while I was there. It was great to see them, and talk memories and good times.
My greatest memory of my grandmother was my graduation cruise. It was exhausting all the travel in the last couple weeks, but I was so lucky to have dear friends near and it was wonderful to be with my family in california. I miss Sonoma and Santa Rosa. It was so so beautiful there.
Now its nice to be home, and catching up on work and designing. A lot to catch up on. Definitely going to have to get a serious massage or therapy in december when I can finally sit down for the evening. phew.
