How Witness was born...

So a handful of months ago Jon and I were talking to a dear friend of ours and she told us about a game that she played in college that included a "witness" and "murderer" that was a bit like Sardines and Murder in the Dark. Immediately we wanted to play, so we got a group of people together and by the end of the night our imagination of what this game had potential to be had sky rocketed! By the next week, we had created more than a dozen additional characters and made our first cards. They were laminated with packaging tape and slightly larger than 3X5 cards. Nonetheless, they were a hit.
Every week after that we had created more characters, and new people were coming to play the game with us every week. We made the cards smaller and got them professionally laminated!
Then Jon found an independent publishing company and we did it! Here is what the final cards look like...
They are the size of playing cards and the symbols on the bottom right of the cards show you which decks each card can be played with. Each symbol representing an expansion deck. Aren't they beautiful?! The original deck went on sale to the public TODAY, and we are so excited! We added so many characters that they became expansion packs of the original deck and are now officially the Horror, Community, and Supernatural expansion decks. Those decks will all be up for sale through this web site by next week as well!

Anyways, check it out here!
